    Stree, Roohi Afza Are Part Of Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Franchise Along With Munjha, All Three To Have Sequels!

    Producer Dinesh Vijan is all set with his next release Bala, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. Ahead of the release of the film, he has talked about his future projects as well as the failure of the last release under his banner, Made In China. While he has said that Made in China has taught him to be more rational about the timing of release and its importance, it is his future projects that made us super excited!

    Just like Rohit Shetty is working on a cop universe and Ajay Devgn wants to bring a franchise about the unsung heroes of the nation, Vijan is spinning a horror franchise of his won. After the success of Stree, the director is not just making a sequel to that, but two other films as well, both of which would have sequels too. One of the films in the franchise would be Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer RoohiAfza.

    Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the producer saud,

    Roohi Afza, my first film with Janhvi (Kapoor) and my third with Raj, comes in April 2020. In March 2021, we plan to release another horror-comedy, Munjha, which goes on the floors next year in August. All three— Stree, Roohi Afza and Munjha—will have a part 2 which will arrive over the next five years, three years after the original opened, each answering the questions the first part ended with. Then, all three will come together in my horror universe in a series of two films which deal with the bigger picture and a larger conflict."

    He also said that all the films would span over 8 years and different writers and directors will be behind each film.
