Suhana Khan's Post On 'End Colourism' Gets Lauded By Zoya Akhtar, Khushi Kapoor, Mallika Dua, Shanaya Kapoor And Others

 Suhana Khan has been in the headlines since yesterday as she took to her Instagram handle to call out the trolls for leaving some distasteful comments on her posts calling her ugly. She talked about the fixation with fair skin in India and how dark tones are associated with being ugly. Suhana shared a list of trolls, series of mean comments over her skin color, and demanded an end to shadeism. 

Suhana's post has brought up some extreme responses on social media and many of her close friends have come out in support of her including Zoya Akhtar, Shanaya Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mallika Dua, and many more. 

Zoya expressed her opinion on the post. She wrote, "Thank you for sharing this. It's only self-hate that makes people want to demean others. In any case, we can't take criticism from people we wouldn't go for advice. A racist only defines themselves so you be you beautiful one. Not only this, Deanne Pandey encouraged Suhana by saying, ‘’You are beautiful inside out my love ... people are unhappy so this comes from a place of insecurity & frustration, unhappiness & jealousy. Ignore them & keep shining’’,  Shanaya Kapoor showered her best friend with love, she hailed her as 'Queen'. Khushi Kapoor and Aaliyah Kashyap dropped a few heart emoticons to show their support on her post. Suhana's cousin Alia Chhiba wrote, "so proud of you!! This is amazing.. love you."

Earlier too, Suhana reposted a tweet regarding misogyny  She took to her Instagram stories to share the post, highlighting 'double standards'. Suhana wrote. "The double standards are scary," Seems like the 20-year-old has some strong opinion on these issues.
