Suicide Or Murder: Film On Sushant Singh Rajput To Star His Lookalike Sachin Tiwari; To Go On Floors In September

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on 14th June. The incident sent shockwaves throughout the nation. Soon, some of his family members and his fans suspected foul play and demanded a CBI inquiry on his death. Some filmmakers also announced films on the late actor. Amongst these is Vijay Shekhar Gupta's Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost. Now, the producer has said that TikTok star Sachin Tiwari, who gained fame as Sushant Singh Rajput's lookalike, will play the actor in the film. The first look poster was also revealed.

The film would not be a biopic of Sushant but will be inspired by his life. It would be shot in Mumbai and Punjab and will go on floors in mid-September. The makers are eyeing for a Christmas release this year. Vijay Shekhar Gupta said, “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide came as a shock to all of us, but it is not new. Many actors who come to the industry to accomplish their dreams of making it big here, end up not getting work. Many take this route, and some keep struggling all their lives. So, we wanted to tell a story of how actors from small towns, who don’t have godfathers in Bollywood, struggle. We will be revealing other characters one by one. I can assure you that this film will definitely unmask the real face of the insiders of Bollywood.”

The film will be directed by Shamik Maulik.
