Suniel Shetty calls out claiming his building has been sealed due to Delta variant cases, assures his family is safe

Actor Suniel Shetty who is Hyderbad shooting for an upcoming project has reacted topanic striking news reports that his apartment building has been sealed by the  Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation after multiple cases of Delta variant of Covid-19 were found in the society.

Calling out all such reports for factual errors Suniel reacted and said that there were no Delta virant cases in his apartment building and further added that the place has not been sealed. The actor did admit that many families in the apartment society were affected by Covid-19 one after the other but said that none of the cases were of the Delta variant as reported.

The actor further added that mostly all family affected have been in quarantine and have either recuperated or are on their way to full recovery. Suniel while calling out these reports told Times of India that is was unfair to the affected families as such reports would invoke fear. The actor also mentioned that none of his family members are in the building at the time and all of them are safe.

Suniel was quoted by the publication saying, “This is not fair; all of us are going through this phase and need to support these people. Yesterday, it took a nasty turn, and just to make it more impactful, reports started claiming that Suniel Shetty’s apartment has been locked. Then they went on to say that Suniel Shetty’s flat has been locked, and there are Delta variant cases detected. It got a little unnerving because we weren’t home. Athiya and Ahan are in London and Mana, mom, I and everybody were out. By the time I read and understood the news, it had gone through the ceiling.”

The actor also added that while the BMC is doing regular checks, the buildings have not been sealed but a notice has been put up warning about the affected families. Lending support to his society members Suniel said, “All the building members have been helping each other out. Putting this building to shame is not good. That’s why the media needs to be responsible, check information before putting it out. It is scary because Delta plus is not a simple variant.”
