Suniel Shetty Says Athiya Shetty Is Scarred By 'Motichoor Chaknachoor' Experience After His Name Was Dragged In Controversy

Nepotism has become a fairly sensitive subject in the film industry and the credibility of several actors hailing from film families has come under question. Amidst all this debate early in 2020 actor Suniel Shetty faced the accusation of getting over-involved with his daughter Ahity Shetty’s film Mothichoor Chanknachoor and was served a legal notice.

The actor who had earlier clarified that he was not involved with the project in any capacity has now said that the experience of Motichoor has now scarred her. In an interview with ETimes, Suneil said, “I am her sounding board, I am her bounce board and boxing bag also, she punches me the most. She is very clear about what she does not want to do. And at times that gets difficult and there are so many films that come her way and now 'Motichoor' has scarred her so much, tremendous appreciation as an actor but scarred her from the point of view.”

Addressing how his relationship with Athiya has changed after the controversy the actor added, “With no fault of hers she was dragged into something that she was not even responsible for. She is so scared now that anything which comes from me she wants to think about it 25 times. She doesn’t have that kind of faith. She says they are your friends and this happens.”

The actor also added that Athiya is secure in her career and knows what she is doing while his son Ahan is also pretty chilled out.
