Sunny Deol Wants To Get Back To Acting, Says Being From A Filmy Background Is 'A Drawback Rather Than An Asset Now'

Sunny Deol was one of the most popular actors of his time. He had been etched in our memory as the man who can pull a handpump with his 'dhai kilo ka haath' and has mouthed some of the most famous dialogues like 'Tareekh pe tareekh'. Nowadays, he had shifted behind the camera and directed his son's debut film- Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. But Sunny wants to get back soon to acting and wants to paint his characters with the colours of his real personality.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the actor said that once the lockdown is over, all he wants to do is 'act, act and act'. He added, "I want to surprise myself and my audience, evolve as an actor, wear characters I can give life to, and infuse with the colour of my personality." He also promised and said, "Over the next year and two, I will give much more as an actor to my fans, particularly to the next generation."

He also talked about son Karan Deol and his debut Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. He seems to have realised that the situation now is very different and feels that being from a filmy family acts as a bane rather than a boon. He added, "I wanted to be an actor and unfortunately, my boys want the same. And I’m proud that it’s not for the stardom but because they enjoy the art. Their talent, hard work and destiny will take them ahead."
