Rhea was produced before a magistrate through video conferencing for remand the same day and her bail plea was rejected. The actress was remanded to 14-day judicial custody and was moved to the Byculla Jail on 10th September. In a fresh plea, Rhea and Showik had approached the special court and the actress claimed to be ‘innocent’. However latest reports from ANI reveal that their bail pleas have been rejected, along with pleas of alleged drug peddlers Abdul Basit and Zaid Vilatra, Sushant’s house help Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, who were also arrested for drug links in the late actor’s case.

According to latest reports in News18, the six accused are likely to approach the Bombay High Court. But, until further orders, Rhea will continue to remain at the Byculla Jail. Her arrest has taken the entire industry by storm and netizens are now divided between #JusticeForRhea and #JusticeForSushant. However, there are also those who continue to seek justice for Sushant but are deeply saddened by the treatment Rhea is subjected to.
