    The death case of Sushant Singh Rajput has once again conjured up a storm after the drug angle in it was established. The NCB are probing every possible nexus in the matter and many new details are emerging every day. The netizens are in a tizzy and many are even making YouTube videos pertaining to the case and have been pointing fingers at the Mumbai police. 

    In one such instance, a man has been arrested by the Mumbai police for uploading videos on YouTube which were spreading fake news in connection to the Sushant Singh Rajput case and was also defaming the Mumbai police and the Maharashtra government said an official on Sunday, 6th September, ‘20.

    According to a Times of India report, the action was taken against Omar Sarvagnya by the cyber wing of the Mumbai police. The videos were found to be defamatory and damaging to the image of the state government and the Mumbai police, added the official.  

    A case had already been registered against Omar in the last month under the Indian Penal Code Sections 505(2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill will between classes), 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), the police official stated. 

    The report quoted the official as saying, “We found the videos to be defamatory and damaging the image of the Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police. Following an investigation, we issued summons to him under section 41(A) of the Criminal Procedure Code to appear before the investigating officer.”
