    Sushant Singh Rajput Case: NCB Files Charge Sheet With Names Of 33 Accused In Drug Case, Runs Over 12,000 Pages

    The zonal office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai which was investigating the drug leads in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has finally submitted their charge sheet. NCB’s Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhade who fronted the investigation was the one to file the elaborate document.

    Submitted before the special NDPS Court, the charge sheet has names of 33 accused and runs over 12,000 pages with the digital copy going over 50,000 pages and includes statements from over 200 witnesses and also details seized goods along with Whatsapp chats for evidence. Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are also amongst those named in the charge sheet.

    The document details the procurement and distribution of drugs all over Mumbai from the highest to lowest levels. Apart from Rhea and Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and help Dipesh Sawant.

    Reportedly out of the names mentioned in the charge sheet 5 accused are absconding.

    The NCB got involved in the investigation relating to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death after evidence procured by the Enforcement Directorate in August 2020, three months after the actor’s death in his Bandra based apartment in June.

    Several big names from Bollywood were also interrogated in the matter including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades.
