Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Siddharth Pithani 'Forgot' To Call Rhea Chakraborty After Finding The Actor Dead, Reveals Smita Parikh

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment on the 14th of June. The reason for his death was primarily attributed to his mental health and the actor was said to be suffering from clinical depression. However, with the CBI doing the probe, many new sides in the case have come to the forefront. Now, in an interview, Sushant's family friend Smita Parikh revealed what the late actor's friend Sidharth Pathani told to her over a call.

Smita had called him to ask what happened after they found Sushant's body. He had apparently said that he 'forgot' to call Rhea and that she did not come to his mind. It is a little suspicious since Siddharth had been living together with Rhea and Sushant at the same Bandra apartment! Talking to Republic TV, she said that when she quizzed Sidharth about why he did not call Rhea after finding Sushant's body, he had said, "Rhea didn't come to my mind. Neetu Didi came and I called her immediately. I then called the Police. I forgot to call her." She told the channel, "I found this statement so strange when he said. When you know the bond Sushant and Rhea shared for so many months living in the same apartment, how can you not call Rhea first? I knew that he was trying to protect Rhea. Pithani later told me that he was happy with Mumbai Police's investigation and felt they were like therapy sessions. The moment I was just about to end the call with him, Rhea's call waiting on my phone flashed which was weird and Pithani immediately told me to speak to her. How were the two calls so much in sync?"

Smita also talked about Sandip Ssingh, who seems to be under the scanner now after many from Sushant's family and his colleagues said that they had never heard of him from the late actor. She added, "Ssingh started giving orders when he came inside the house... The family wants Sandip Ssingh to be interrogated as he hurried all the procedures on June 14 and tampered with the evidence. He definitely has a bigger role to play in Sushant and Disha Salian's death."
