Sushant Singh Rajput Demise: Film Critic Rajeev Masand Called For Questioning By Bandra Police

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra home on 14th June. The news had left us all shocked and heartbroken to the core. Sushant had moved from Tv to Bollywood and was one of the most talented stars. His death raised a series of questions- about his mental health and about what prompted him to take such a drastic step. The question of whether he was shunned because of being an 'outsider' has also been raised and whether people had malice against him is also being looked into. The Bandra Police are leaving no stones unturned to investigate every possible reason that could have led to his death. They have already questioned people who had been associated with him and filmmakers with whom he had worked. Now, they have called in film critic Rajeev Masand as well.

This happened right after Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, in an interview with a TV channel names Rajeev as one of the people who should be questioned concerning the investigation on Sushant Singh Rajput's death. She had said, "Why is Mumbai Police not summoning — Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand? These 4 people. Why, because they are powerful?"

Masand has also been on the receiving end of online wrath after the actor's demise. Netizens had pointed out that the critic, who also writes for a magazine, had written several blind stories, all negative, which seemed to point at Sushant Singh Rajput. He allegedly called him a 'skirt chaser' and had put 'Me Too' accusations against him, which were later cleared. Apart from him, Aditya Chopra had also recorded his statement. Others like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar Kapur, Sanjana Sanghi, Rhea Chakraborty and Yash Raj Films employees Shanoo Sharma and Aashish Singh are among the 35 people who had been questioned so far.
