Sushant Singh Rajput Spoke To His Sister In The Morning; Father Collapsed On Hearing About His Death

One of the most talented and adored actors of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide today by hanging himself to the ceiling of his Bandra home. The police were informed about the same by his domestic help and his mortal remains have been taken to the Cooper hospital for post-mortem. The actor reportedly called his sister at 9:30 in the morning before making one last call to his close friend and actor Mahesh Shetty.

Sushant’s father, who resides in Patna, received the tragic news from the actor’s friend over the telephone. He collapsed on hearing about his son’s death and is currently not in a state to talk. One of Sushant’s sisters, who lives in Chandigarh, is on her way to Patna. The actor was reportedly in depression since the past few months and police also found medical prescriptions at his house this morning.

A report in Peeping Moon states that Sushant’s family did not know of his condition and did not know that he was suicidal. The report further suggests that the actor had stopped taking calls from his family and had also cut-off from his sister Ritu Singh, who he was closest to.
