Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide Case: Sanjay Leela Bhansali And Aditya Chopra’s Contradicting Statements Cause Further Confusion

The supremely talented Sushant Singh Rajput left his fans and family heartbroken when he breathed his last at his Bandra home on 14^th June. It was reported that the actor was suffering from depression since the past few months. Rumors also suggest that the ‘self-appointed gatekeepers’ of Bollywood tried to shut him out of the film industry. The Mumbai Police is currently investigating the case and many celebrities have undergone interrogation for the same in the past one month, including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi and Aditya Chopra.

The interrogation has now taken quite an intriguing turn thanks to Sanjay and Aditya’s contradicting statements. Bhansali, who recorded his statement earlier this month, stated that he had offered 4 films to Sushant—including Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram- Leela and Bajirao Mastani— but they could not work together due to the actor’s date issues and his three-film contract with YRF. However, Chopra was interrogated on 18^th July and he refuted these claims. He told ABP news that Sanjay didn’t approach YRF for Bajirao Mastani, nor did Sushant tell them that he was offered the movie or he wished to do it.

In fact, Aditya Chopra stated, “If we can can allow him to do ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ while he was in a contract with YRF, why will we stop him from doing ‘Bajirao Mastani’?” The filmmaker also revealed that Ranveer Singh was offered Ram Leela in April 2013, whereas YRF signed a contract with Sushant in November-December that year.
