Sushant Singh Rajput To Receive A Special Honour Posthumously At This Year's National Awards: Reports

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death sent shockwaves across the nation and while the fans and family try to cope with the loss even two months after his tragic demise his life and work are being celebrated. It is now being reported that the actor will be honoured posthumously at this year's National Film Awards.

According to a Bollywood Hungama source close to the government, “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has shaken the entire film fraternity. While his life is being celebrated so passionately after his death his work as an actor didn’t get the same recognition during his lifetime. This imbalance must be corrected.”

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting that bestows the honour hasn’t exactly clarified how they plan of honouring the late actor and there also has been no official confirmation. It has been reported though that it will be a special honour for the actor’s contribution to cinema while also stating that the government also has plans to hold a film festival of his movies.

Sushant Singh Rajput was also recently honoured by the California State Assembly for his contribution to society and his sister took to social media to share a picture of the certificate. A few pages from the actor’s dairy revealed that he harboured Hollywood dreams and wanted to liaison with an agency there to find work in films.
