Sushant Singh Rajput Was Not Facing Financial Trouble, Was Being Offered Films As Well; Reveals Close Friend

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise has sparked many debates on social media. The 34 years old was found dead in his house in Bandra, and according to reports, he had been suffering from depression. Many rumours had been doing the rounds that he was being shunned by the industry and was out of work. It was even said that he was skeptical about being able to pay the salaries of his staff. But while the lockdown may have caused financial crunch in many, it is now being said that Sushant was far away from facing it.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the actor had a number of films in his kitty and the makers were kkeen to pay him Rs.8 crores for each. The portal quoted a friend of the late actor without naming him who said, "Sushant wasn't going through a financial trouble as is being discussed. He had a few films lined up and a few more in discussion. From what I know, his dates were all booked till mid-next year. If he signed the other two films, he would have had five projects by 2022. He was also charging to the tune of Rs 8 crore per project."

He also added, "There were two producers who were planning to meet him later this month. Since he wasn't in touch with them, they had spoken to one of his close buddies and even shared how they would love to pay him to the tune of Rs 11 crore for their film, a riveting drama."

Well, it has been confirmed by Rumi Jaffery that he was to start shoot for a film alongside Rhea Chakraborty with him. He was also apparently offered two films by Anand Gandhi and one by Aanand L. Rai, besides being in talk for Baichung Bhutia’s biopic.
