Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on the 14th of June. It shocked the entire nation and the family has been bereaved. They had recorded their statement to the Mumbai Police who has initially been investigating the case but later, the late actor's father Mr. K.K. Singh filed an F.I.R to the Bihar Police. It was said that initially, the family did not suspect any foul play and had told the Mumbai Police that depression might have made Sushant take this step, but they later blamed Rhea Chakraborty. According to India Today, in his statement, K.K. Singh said, "My son, Sushant Singh Rajput had come to Patna on May 13, 2019, for the Mundan ceremony. It was the day of Sushant’s Mundan when he met me. The Mundan ceremony was on May 15, 2019 and he was not tensed in any way. Sushant went back to Mumbai on May 16, 2019.
I used to message Sushant on WhatsApp and he used to reply. I didn’t use to call him much, as he used to be busy with work. Sushant used to call me and we used to have a chat. Sushant had called and asked if I needed anything. At that time, he asked me how I was and he replied that he is well.
After that, Sushant called me on June 7, 2020, and I told him, “It has been a year since I came to Patna. Come to Patna if you want to.” On that, he replied, “Let me see, I am not feeling well. I would come once I am back.”
On June 14, 2020, when I was sitting in my house in Patna, I learned that Sushant has committed suicide by hanging himself on the ceiling fan through the news on TV from 14:15 to 14:30 hours. After that, I became unconscious after feeling dizzy. I came to Mumbai with my nephew, Mr. Neeraj Singh, and my relatives on the date June 15, 2020, through a flight from Patna. We carried out the final rites of my son Sushant at Vile Parle (West) on the date June 15, 2020 from 17:00 to 18:00 hours.
After that, I came to Sushant’s flat that he had taken on rent at Bandra. I did not say anything to anybody nor I asked anything as I was feeling sorry for my son. I am not aware as to why my son Sushant has committed suicide. He never discussed with me regarding any type of depression or tension.
I do not have any suspicion of or any complaint against Sushant. I feel that Sushant might have done suicide out of dejection."

In a press conference yesterday, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Mr. Vikas Singh claimed that the Mumbai Police had forced the family to sign the statement which was written in Marathi, a language the family couldn't read. The CBI is currently investigating the case.
