Sushant Singh Rajput's Father Requests Bihar CM For A CBI Probe In The Actor's Death

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has become more convoluted ever since an F.I.R was filed Mr. K.K. Singh alleging Rhea Chakraborty abetted the suicide of his son. There have been big developments in the matter since with Sushant’s family saying they alerted the police that the actor wasn’t in good company. The actor’s father has now requested Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for a CBI probe in the matter.

The case which is now being investigated by a team of Patna cops in Mumbai has led to a lot of allegations being levied on the Mumbai police too who were formerly handling the case. Meanwhile, a controversy erupted after Patna Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari who landed in Mumbai a few days ago to take over the case was put in quarantine by BMC.

In a video K.K. Singh on 3 August released a video questioned the Mumbai police investigation and said, “On Feb 25, I informed Bandra Police that he’s in danger. He died on June 14 & I asked them to act against people named in my Feb 25 complaint. No action taken even 40 days after his death. So I filed an FIR in Patna.”

Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh however in a press conference said that no complaint was received from the actor’s family in February and neither did they complain of any lapse in investigation on the part of the Mumbai Police.

Many celebrities saddened by the sudden demise of the actor were seeking CBI probe in the case, including Kangana Ranaut, Shekhar Suman and later Rhea Chakraborty too Maharashtra government had refused to order the probe. The Bihar CM too had said that a CBI probe will only be requested if the actor’s family is willing.

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking for the case to be transferred to the Mumbai police.
