Sushant Singh Rajput's Father Tells SC Had Rhea Chakraborty Not Severed Actor's Ties With Family He Would Be Alive

The Supreme Court is still due to deliver its verdict on the petition filed by actress Rhea Chakraborty in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The actress seeks the transfer of the case filed against her by the actor’s family in Patna to the Mumbai Police. As per the court’s orders on August 11 the actress submitted her plea in the court Sushant’s father in response to her petition has now submitted a four-page document justifying the jurisdiction of the Patna police in the case.

The written response claims that the actor’s life could have been saved if Rhea did not try to cut him off from his family. According to the document details shared by Republic TV  Mr. KK Singh’s emotional response to the SC claims, "The Patna police clearly had jurisdiction to register the FIR because the part of the cause of action happened at Patna as, during the lifetime of Sushant Singh Rajput, the father's attempt to talk to him on the telephone from Patna was thwarted by the accused persons by not letting him talk to him, which could have saved his son's life and the consequences of the crime is suffered by the complainant at Patna, because he was the only son who was to light his funeral pyre and the said son has been snatched away by the acts of the accused persons.”

It also added, "The Respondent No.2 who is the grieving father believes he could have avoided this most unfortunate death of his son if he and his family would have not been cut-off by the Petitioner (Rhea).”

Additionally, the family also expressed distrust in the Mumbai police investigation and raised questions as to why no F.I.R was filed by them.

The family’s lawyer senior advocate Vikas Singh while addressing the media also said that the Mumbai police should help the CBI investigation, “I have always said that the Mumbai Police is a very professional Force. But for some reason, in this case, Mumbai Police have completely gone in a wrong direction. So the family had to approach Patna Police.”

Bihar Government on the other hand in their submission said that Rhea’s plea is now infructuous as the case is already been transferred to the CBI.
