Sushant Singh Rajput’s first death anniversary: Ankita hosts a havan; Pulkit Samrat calls him an inspiration

It’s been one whole year since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput bid adieu to the world one final time, leaving behind only memories to remember him by. He was not just an entertainer, but was also a gem of a person with a heart of gold-- a star in every way. So much has changed around us, except for the heartbreak we feel each time his name is mentioned. Well, ahead of his first death anniversary, his ex-girlfriend and Pavitra Rishta co-star Ankita Lokhande hosted a puja at her house. She took to her Instagram stories to share a glimpse of the havan. Take a look:

Actor Pulkit Samrat, on the other hand, penned a heartbreaking note. Along with a handsome picture of Sushant clicked during better days, Pulkit wrote: “It has been a year since the world lost you, and my mind immediately goes back to the times when we crossed paths briefly, at an award function. We shook hands briefly and went our separate ways. Memories have a funny way of evoking emotions. I still remember when I heard the news that you were no more, it felt like a personal loss. And the memory of that brief interaction comes rushing back to me today, again.”

He went on to write: “The world lost you, but you still exist as an inspiration to those who dare to dream big. You exist in the hopes and aspirations of every small town guy who dreams of making it big some day. You exist for everyone who wants to believe that humans are capable of kindness. You exist for everyone who dares to dream. I never got to know you in this lifetime, but if we live more than once, I would want to be a part of the world again where you exist, a world that is much kinder than this one. Sushant Singh Rajput, you are missed.”

This note will surely touch your heart, but the one sentence which hits on an entirely different level is that ‘it felt like a personal loss’. This stands true till today. We miss you Sushant.
