Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Sidharth Pithani's name has recently become a prominent one in the investigation of his death. Sidharth was the one who found the actor in his room after getting his room opened up by a key maker and also the one who called the actor’s sister Meetu Singh. Questions were raised on his role in the case by Sushant’s father’s lawyer after he wrote an email to Mumbai Police claiming he was being forced to make a statement against Rhea Chakraborty.

Sidharth has now in a chat with Zoom TV recalled the painful details of what happened on the morning of June 14. Sidharth says he was having his morning tea when the cook approached him saying Sushant has locked his room from inside and he wanted to know what the actor would have for lunch.

When Sidharth went to check he got no response from Sushant. He tells the channel, "We kept banging for a long time and it got really loud that the sound could be heard downstairs as well. Then finally I decided that let’s call the key maker and force the door open. Meanwhile, I called up sister Meetu Singh and informed her that Sushant is not opening his door and asked her to reach urgently.”

He further said that the key maker arrived opened the door and was sent on his way after getting paid. “I was the first person to open the door and enter the room where I saw him like that. It was very scary."

Sidharth also brought the body down and called the police, "I immediately informed the police and checked the pulse to see if it’s happening but I couldn’t sense anything and he was cold. With the instructions of the family, I cut off the fabric that was used. Dipesh and I then removed him and placed him carefully on the bed, while Meetu didi also entered.”
