Sushant Singh Rajput's Last Film Dil Bechara, Kiara's Indoo Ki Jawani, Christopher Nolan's Tenet To Get A Theatrical Release?

With the government's Unlock 5 guidelines this month, the theatres and multiplexes have finally be allowed to re-open from 15th October across the country. It brings a sense of relief to the theatre owners who couldn’t earn at all since March when the lockdown was implemented.

Well as the day for cinemas to reopen approaches the names of films that might be the first ones to release has also been decided. The first big release would be Sushant Singh’s Dil Bechara. After setting a new benchmark on the OTT platform, the movie is all set to release in theatres. According to a Mid-Day source, "After the film's phenomenal success on Disney+Hotstar, it was decided that whenever theatres open, the love story will be formally released on the big screen as a tribute to the actor.’’ 

If things go as planned, the audience can witness three releases in November. Kiara Advani-starrer Indoo Ki Jawani will get a theatrical release in the first week, followed by Christopher Nolan's Tenet the week after. "Indoo Ki Jawani was earlier slated to hit screens on October 2, but will now be an early November offering. It is subject to change depending on the reopening of cinemas in Maharashtra and other major centers, and the footfalls in the first few weeks. The makers of Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh's Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari are considering a theatrical run in the third week of November in addition to its ZeePlex premiere," adds the source.

As per the report, Yash Raj Films also has two films lined up for a big-screen release –  Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji-Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar featuring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. But the studio has not fixed on any date yet.
