Sushant's Family Lawyer Says Mumbai Police Trying To Destroy Evidence While Quarantining Enforcement Officer

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe has also resulted in a clash between the Mumbai Police and Bihar Police. A team of cops from Patna launched an independent investigation in the case after Sushant’s father filed an F.I.R against actress Rhea Chakraborty and five others while the family also alleged of irregularities in the management of the case by the Mumbai police.

Patna Superintendent of Police Vijay Tiwari was sent to Mumbai to take the lead in the case and was quarantined soon after her landed by BMC. This has led to another uproar and Vikas Singh, the lawyer representing Sushant’s father in the case has now alleged that the Mumbai police is buying time to destroy evidence and therefore the family has decided to hand the case over to the CBI for investigation.

The lawyer’s statement came after Mr. K.K. Singh approached Bihar Chief Minister Nitesh Kumar requesting a CBI probe in the matter.

Sushant’s father on 3 August put out a video alleging that the family had intimated the Mumbai police in February that they were concerned about Sushant’s company, “On Feb 25, I informed Bandra Police that he’s in danger. He died on June 14 & I asked them to act against people named in my Feb 25 complaint. No action taken even 40 days after his death. So I filed an FIR in Patna.”
