    Sushmita Sen Confesses She Had Started Signing Films 'To Stay In The Business' Calls It A 'Criminal Waste Of Life'

    Sushmita Sen has finally decided to end her long break from acting and is making a comeback with the web- series Aarya which will soon be streaming On Disney+ Hotstar.

    The actress in a press conference about Aarya spoke about what led her to make this particular project be her comeback and the actress revealed that she had put out a word that she was ready to get back in front of the camera but with a condition.

    "I put out a word everywhere that I am ready to work and I will give my everything. But I need something that will help me grow as an actor. If you give me that I will go out my way. I want to do good work," Sushmita said in response to a query from PTI.


     The actress who was last seen on the big screen in the Bengali film Nirbaak in 2015 also said that initially in her acting career she jumped right in without really thinking through what kind of projects she wants to be a part of and so this time around she wants to make it count.

    “I had started getting the kind of work that I was just doing for the sake of it to stay in the business of making movies. I think that is a criminal waste of your life, so I chose otherwise and I did better things with my time. Now, I said I can commit to this [Aarya],” the actress said in the press conference.

    The former Miss Universe also added that it was all worth the wait.

    "By God's grace, I got the most incredible beautiful content, a fantastic platform, Hotstar. For me, this culmination of everything coming together has been because I gave it time, I gave my everything to wait. I said I will sit at home but when I do something it has to be worth it. And I can proudly say it now," Sushmita said in conclusion.
