Sushmita Sen Was Going To Be Salman Khan’s Ex Girlfriend In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Insha-Allah?

Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Insha-Allah was undoubtedly one of the most talked about projects of 2019. With Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan and popular actress Alia Bhatt in the lead, it was going to be the filmmaker and Salman’s first collaboration in two decades. However, the film was later shelved and a source had revealed that the reason behind this decision was creative differences between the actor-director duo. Salman had also shared a tweet that read: “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!”

Well according to the latest report shared by Bollywood Hungama, former Miss Universe and one of the most popular stars of Hindi cinema, Sushmita Sen was also going to be a part of the magnum opus. A source revealed: “There was a guest appearance of Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend. Salman recommended Sushmita’s name and Bhansali was happy to meet her. They met and everything was in place. But it never happened. And there went her last opportunity to work with Bhansali.”

Many years ago, Bhansali had reportedly decided to cast Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Miss Universe Sushmita together in his masterpiece Devdas, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. While Aishwarya was going to be Paro, Sushmita would have been Chandramukhi. However, the casting changed overnight and Madhuri Dixit became Chandramukhi.
