Swara Bhaskar Reacts To Rhea Chakraborty's Arrest; Taapsee Pannu Slams Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family Lawyer

After three consecutive days of questioning, actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on 8^th September by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with drugs-related allegations in boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. It was reported that the actress used to manage finances for drug procurement along with the late actor. Along with other Bollywood celebs, actress Swara Bhaskar has come out in Rhea’s support and has stated that Rhea had been pronounced guilty by the media trial many weeks ago.

Talking to NDTV, Swara shared, “It seems that we were just waiting for her to be arrested for any reason. Be it murder, abetment to suicide, money laundering, siphoning of funds, and when other such charges laid on her doorstep failed and 3 central agencies weren't able to find anything I guess we are now going to be satisfied by being arrested for buying pot.” The actress went on to add that the fact that social media allegations could lead to a person getting alleged of such serious crimes is scary and shocking.

Taapsee Pannu, on the other hand, took to her official handle to call out Sushant’s family lawyer who refused to comment on Rhea’s arrest and stated, “Drug charges are not our case against Rhea.” In her post, the Thappad actress wrote: “So this isn’t his case he says. So she was neither a gold digger, nor murderer but she consumed/transferred drugs. Toh yeh case jiska bhi tha usko mubarak ho. Coz Sushant ko toh nahi but un logo ko pakka justice mil gaya hoga. Mubarak Ho.”

Further talking about the remand copy submitted by NCB in connection with Rhea’s arrest, which states that the only allegation against her is procuring drugs for Sushant, Taapsee shared, “Correction. She wasn’t consuming. Financing and procuring for Sushant. So in that case if he was alive he would’ve been put behind bars too ? Oh no. She must’ve forced the drugs onto him. Sushant must’ve been force fed marijuana. Yes that’s what it is exactly. We did it guys.”

Rhea reportedly spent the night at the Narcotics Control Bureau office. The court remanded her to 14 days of judicial custody and she is now at the Byculla jail.
