Swara Bhasker: “Mainstream News Media Has Become The Most Unreliable, Irresponsible Source Of Rabble Rousing”

One of the most talented and versatile actresses of Bollywood, Swara Bhasker is a bold personality who is never afraid to speak what’s on her mind or to stand up for what she feels is right. Well, recently the beauty lashed out at a food delivery app of which she is a regular customer. She asked them to pull down their ads from a prominent news channel and stated, “I’m not okay with my money even indirectly funding this kind of communal bigoted hate!”

In a recent chat with Spotboye, Swara opened up about the same and shared that she feels media is fuelling the hatred. The actress stated, “The mainstream news media today has become the most unreliable and irresponsible source of rabble rousing. When they are called out and their hate and bullying is held accountable they respond with trolling and more hate. But this is the pushback to hate from normal rational citizens. We must hold the media and the government accountable as citizens and as taxpayers.”

Meanwhile on the work front, Swara is currently busy gearing up for the release of her next web show, titled Bhaag Beanie Bhaag. In this Netflix original, the actress will be seen portraying the role of Beanie Bhatnagar, an aspiring stand-up comedian.
