Swara Bhasker Recalls She Fell Off Stage After Her First Meeting With Shah Rukh Khan, Maria Goretti Forgot Her Other Shoe

Bollywood is full of Shah Rukh Khan fans and it is often so heartwarming to see our favorite celebrities go gaga over King Khan especially when reliving their first meeting with the Bollywood superstar. Well, on his 55th birthday on Monday actress Swara Bhasker had a sweet post to share about when she first met SRK as she sent out a warm birthday wish to the actor who is currently in Dubai with his family.

Narrating her experience of coming face to face with her favorite actor at an event Swara shared a photo from 2012 where she looks clearly star-struck. She wrote, “1995 I watched #DDLJ 2012 I met SRK for the 1st time. I told him I’d been looking for my ‘Raj’ for 17 years & asked if I could hug him. He was gracious as ever & gave me a hug. He turned & I fell off the stage! #TrueStory

Not just Swara, former model and anchor Maria Goretti too had a nervous back story about the first time she had to interview Shah Rukh who is her absolute favorite. Interviewing him for a show on MTV Maria got so worked up before meeting him that she forgot to put on her other shoe.

In her birthday note for the actor, Maria revisited the interview and wrote, “I remember this interview, I have just this bit of the 1 hour interview and lots of nervous laughs, it was my 1st show for @mtvindia. The show was called “Big -Picture” I think. This interview was for the Mani Ratnam film “Dil se” and I went to Mehboob studio’s to interview Shahrukh Khan and Manisha Koirala. I was nervous as hell, because I am a huge @iamsrk fan, like the rest of the world , and dammit he was sitting with me in the boot of my car ..(Actually not my car , it belonged to Arshad) He was so kind and full of good manners ! I was so nervous, I forgot to put my other shoe on. Nope Shah Rukh Khan is not my friend, but through the years , he always says hello and has not forgotten my name . And I’m still a fan of him and his movies.”

We definitely feel you ladies, it’s the Shah Rukh Khan effect!
