Taapsee Pannu Reveals Aunties Of Her Society Used To Judge Her For Playing Sports With Boys

The gorgeous Taapsee Pannu is known to be one of the most talented and sought-after actresses of Hind cinema. She began her journey in Bollywood with Chashme Baddoor in 2013 and has managed to carve a niche for herself in the industry in the last 7 years thanks to her spectacular performances in super hit films. May it be winning hearts with Pink or leaving the audience stunned with Manmarziyaan and Thappad, Taapsee sure has come a long way.

However, things were not always easy for the actress. In a chat with Pinkvilla, the beauty revealed that the aunties of her society used to judge her for playing sports with boys when she was younger. She used to be a ‘sporty kid’ and after coming home from school she would rush to go play all kinds of sports. However, after the ninth standard, girls from her society stopped coming down to play too often because they weren’t allowed and playing with boys was termed ‘not normal’.

She went on to share, “Because I would be playing with the boys even then, till my 12th grade. The society aunties would judge me and keep saying that they won't let their daughters play with me, because I was always around boys. It was weird. But it never bothered me.” Meanwhile, Taapsee’s mom always supported her in whatever she did and was extremely cool.

“Today, everything has changed. They only speak well for her. They feel she's doing a great job,” shared Taapsee’s mother.
