    Taapsee Pannu Reveals She Didn’t Audition For Her Bollywood Debut; Says ‘I Would’ve Failed Miserably’

    The very talented Taapsee Pannu is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and sought-after actresses of the Hindi film industry today. She began her journey with South cinema in 2010 and made her debut in Bollywood three years later with David Dhawan’s Chashme Baddoor, co-starring late Rishi Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma and Siddharth. She went on to win our hearts and made it big in Hindi cinema with films like Manmarziyaan, Thappad, Badla and Pink to her credit.

    But did you know Taapsee never auditioned for her Bollywood debut? That’s right! In a recent interview with Vogue India the actress shared that she feels she would have failed miserably. Taapsee was quoted saying, “Thank God I wasn’t auditioned. I haven’t learnt the craft formally, my training is all on-set. I would have failed miserably. I was known as the girl who has the ‘Preity Zinta vibe’ which is why I even got a Bollywood break.”

    Talking about the roles she chooses to play, Taapsee explained that she’s a method actor and mentally prepares herself by believing that she is the character which she is playing. The beauty explained, “I bore quickly, so new roles and new places help. Fame is not important. I am a Leo, after all. I am the modern young woman. My roles represent that. People should be able to relate to my character.”
