Taapsee Pannu Reveals Why Kangana Ranaut Turned Down Saand Ki Aankh; Talks About Her Remarks On Outsiders

Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut are two of the boldest personalities of Bollywood. They are opinionated women who are not afraid to speak what’s on their mind. Well, Taapsee and Kangana are also two of the finest actresses present in the Hindi film industry and it will truly be a delight to see them together on the big screen some day. However, the only thing that their fans are getting to witness at the moment is their war of words on social media. While Kangana called Taapsee a B-Grade actress during a chat about ‘outsider vs insider’, the latter called out the Queen actress for her ‘hypocrisy’.

For all Taapsee and Kangana fans, there was a time that the two were offered a film together. That’s right! Kangana was reportedly approached for Anurag Kashyap’s film Saand Ki Aankh, but things did not work out. Well in a recent interview with India Today, Taapsee opened up about the same when asked if they would ever work together. She shared, “Last time, when this was about to happen was for Saand Ki Aankh when Kangana was approached by the makers. I was told that it was turned down saying that why do you need another actress when I am doing it, you can make it about one person. My director wasn't okay with changing the script. I would love to work with some brilliant co-stars, I have done so in Pink, Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh. I am positive of things becoming better.”

Talking about her debates and social media feuds with Kangana, Taapsee shared that she has been perplexed for the last few months seeing people calling her out when she has only nice things to say about Kangana and others. She stated, “The hypocrisy was exposed when you yourself are fighting for outsiders and simultaneously pulling down other outsiders. Which side are you on? You are using this opportunity to settle some personal scores. You are fighting against harassment and bullying, but in the same breath how can you bully others. That's kind of wrong.” Taapsee went on to add that they should all stand against harassment together. She also shared that outsiders are discriminated against, but she refuses to be bitter about it.
