Taapsee Pannu Says Respect Is Not Commanded, Shares Interview Of Kangana Calling Manikarnika Co-Star ‘Chota Mota Actor’

Much has been written about the statements Kangana Ranaut made on the interview with Republic TV. The Manikarnika actress went on record and called Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker 'B-grade actresses'.

Many from the industry have voiced their opinion on the matter. Taapsee took to her social media handle and shared a video that has the actress calling Manikarnika co-star Mishti Chakraborty a ‘chota mota actor' [small time actor] and said she can't help it if she can't act. Kangana made the comment after she was questioned why she went on to edit out the roles of co-stars in Manikarnika which she directed along with filmmaker Krish.

The Journalist tells the Queen actress that Mishti Chakraborty who played Kashibai in Manikarnika alleged that her role had been edited from the film. To this, Kangana is seen saying, “whoever has seen this film, said this is one of the best historical films ever made.” She further says, “should I keep small-time actors who don’t know how to act in the film?”

Taapsee shared the video on her social media and wrote, “There is no film as “solo” film , there is no actor such as “chota mota” actor. A film is a TEAM effort including all departments, all actors. The protagonist in NOTHING without the support of the ‘supporting’ cast. Respect is EARNED not COMMANDED."
