Tahira Kashyap Remembers When Ayushmann Khurrana’s On-Screen Kisses Impacted Her Mental Happiness

Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are undoubtedly one of the most adored, made for each other couples of Tinsel Town. They recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary which the actor described as ‘Celebrating 125 years of togetherness. May be more.’ While they are extremely happy with each other and couldn’t have asked for more, there was a time in their relationship at the beginning of Ayushmann’s career when Tahira was slightly insecure because there were women around him all the time. She talked about the same in her latest book, 12 Commandments Of Being A Woman.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Tahira shared, “It's not easy for someone who doesn't come from a family involved with films because there are women around him all the time, the spotlight's on him. I think I have come a long way and I have spoken about that in the book as well. The kind of impact it had on my mental happiness and physical well-being too. I ended up having IBS, which is irritable bowel syndrome. But the root cause was extreme unhappiness and I feel you know it's not the circumstances which are unhappy but your own stress and anxiety that accentuates a situation. I needed to undergo a lot of learning. and I have done that. But yes, it was difficult for me to embrace this entire concept of the film industry.”

Tahira remembered that it all started with Vicky Donor when she was back home pregnant. She kept thinking that she gained 20 kilos and her husband is romancing on screen. But that was not the end. It happened even when the actor recorded the longest kiss in his 2013 film Nautanki Saala, which made headlines. It got to her. However, Tahira has come a long way and is a filmmaker herself now. She understands the industry better and sees everything from an artistic point of view. Well, there’s clearly a lot we can learn from Tahira!
