Tara Sutaria Reacts To Losing Out On Kabir Singh To Kiara Advani

Kabir Singh has got a roaring success at the box-office. While Shahid Kapoor has been praised for his portrayal of the self-destructive and the flawed titular character with some calling it one of his career best performances, Kiara Advani too has received compliments She has been praised for how she portrayed the innocent and gullible Preeti. But did you know that Kiara was not the first choice for Preeti’s character?

Yes, you read that right. Kiara was given the role of Preeti after another actress had rejected it and that is none other than Tara Sutaria. Tara was initially offered the role of Preeti, but with the shooting schedule of Student Of The Year 2 getting extended, Tara had to let go of the project.

Well, now that Kabir Singh has become a blockbuster, Tara might be rethinking her decision. Well, the actress was quizzed about what she had to say about the success of the film . Tara said,

“It's a remake of a hit film so it was bound to do well.”

Talking about whether all the flak that the film received from the critics was justified or not, the actress said,

“As a woman, a human being and an artist, I know have a certain social responsibility, but as artistes we also have a certain artistic freedom and the right to express as we please. It's on the audience as to how they interpret that. Personally, I am a fan of both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.”

Well, Tara has nothing to fret about. She will next be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Marjaavan and with debutant Ahaan Shetty in the Hindi remake of RX100.
