The Family Man 2 star Samantha Akkineni has no plans of doing another web series at the moment

After taking over the South film industry with her beautiful smile and spectacular performances, Samantha Akkineni made her smashing debut on the digital platform this year with the second and much awaited season of The Family Man. Helmed by filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., the espionage action thriller featured Samantha as the main antagonist named Raji, while the very talented Manoj Bajpayee reprised his beloved character of Srikant Tiwari. Well, there were recently reports that Samantha has already bagged her next web show.

However, a report shared by Bollywood Hungama clarified that the South beauty has no plans of doing another OTT series as of now. A source close to Samantha was quoted saying, “Right now she is off the media and just chilling at home with her husband Nag Chaitanya and his family. There are no plans of doing another web series anytime in the near future. Sam agreed to doing The Family Man because of co-directors Raj Nidimoru and DK’s persuasive powers and because she had wanted to play the bad girl for the longest.”

When asked if she will ever do another web series, the source said not for a while and only if she finds something as challenging as The Family Man. Well, Samantha blew us away with her performance as Raji and left us wanting more. We sincerely hope she finds something in the OTT space as exciting as Raj & D.K.’s show soon again!
