The handsome and extremely talented Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen on the big screen in Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, has many exciting scripts in his kitty for the coming year. One of the most talked about projects from the list is The Immortal Ashwatthama, a planned trilogy backed by Ronnie Screwvala. The film not only marks Vicky’s first superhero film, but is also his very first project with the gorgeous Sara Ali Khan. The actors have been training extensively for the film and fans are super excited to see them shine together on the silver screen.

A few months ago director Aditya Dhar had shared that the team plans to get vaccinated by June and will hopefully begin shoot by July. However, the latest report shared by Pinkvilla has revealed that The Immortal Ashwatthama will now go on floors in September. A source was quoted saying, “The film goes on the floors in the month of September with a five-month marathon schedule. The idea is to wrap up the film by January 2022 and being a post-production heavy film, invest time on the edit and post production of the film. A tentative shoot schedule has been prepared.”

The source further revealed that while the initial plan was to shoot in multiple European countries, makers have now decided on UAE as their primary location with India, due to the pandemic. A brief schedule will also be shot in Iceland. The Immortal Ashwatthama will most probably arrive in theatres in the beginning of 2023. Can’t wait!
