The Immortal Ashwatthama: Vicky Kaushal starrer's shoot deferred to August after the team fails to procure visas?

It was a few weeks back that we had seen Vicky Kaushal and director Aditya Dhar start the work on their sci-fi project, The Immortal Ashwatthama. Vicky Kaushal had a cast on him and the preps seemed to be in full swing. Reports were also doing the rounds that the team would head to Europe to shoot a major chunk this month itself. However, the plans have now been deferred and it is because of visas!

A source told Mid Day, “The team is awaiting visa clearance, which takes longer in the post-pandemic times. First, Aditya will travel with a lean team for the recce. He has not finalised the countries, and the venues may change, depending on the situation in Eastern Europe. The rest of the unit will join them only after the on-ground checks have been cleared. Vicky is likely to start the film between mid- and late-August, after wrapping up Mr Lele.”

Aditya Dhar is utilising this time to ensure that the team can complete a start-to-finish schedule, given the uncertain times. There has been no official word on it, but we hope that the film is made soon! The film will also star Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.
