    The Immortal Ashwatthama: Vicky Kaushal To Gain Weight For The Action Drama Will Need To Weigh Over 100 Kgs For The Part

    Vicky Kaushal has impressed everyone with his astonishing performances and splendid film choices. The actor has managed to make his mark in the Bollywood industry and also has an interesting line-up of projects in his bucket. Vicky would be a part of a YRF film co-starring Manushi Chillar which would supposedly be a comedy-drama. Then he would star in The Immortal Ashwatthama an action-based drama film set in modern times, the film will be directed by Aditya Dhar and the two will come together again after the success of  Uri: The Surgical Strike. 

    Vicky’s character is based on the mythical character Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya who was given the blessing of immortality in the Mahabharat. While talking about Vicky’s preparation for the film, Aditya Dhar said, "Vicky will have to weigh more than 100 kilos". To portray Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya, Vicky will have to train in horse-riding and various martial art forms, including krav maga and jujutsu.

     While speaking about the locations of the shoot he said, "We will begin shooting in Europe, primarily the UK, and then head to Iceland. The final schedule will be in Mumbai. The plan may change depending on the COVID-19 crisis in these countries".

    Aditya Dhar further added, "We have finalized our HoDs [head of departments] and begun our discussion with the VFX team. Since nobody has attempted such a subject before, we don't have a reference point. So, the VFX and design teams have to use their imagination and create [the universe] from scratch"

    Aditya has even zeroed in on the leading lady opposite Vicky Kaushal but refused to divulge details until the deal is sealed. On the professional front, Vicky was last seen in a horror-mystery based film Bhoot: Part One- The Haunted Ship by Dharma Productions' The actor will be next seen in a biopic, Udham Singh, directed by Shoojit Sircar.
