Kapil Sharma is away on daddy duty taking a well-deserved break from his comedy special The Kapil Sharma Show after the arrival of his son January. The show may be off the air for now but speculations regarding the new season nonetheless continue. After reports that the show on its return might reunite Kapil with Sunil Grover turned out to be false, fresh claims that the show might go entirely digital surfaced.

As fans made do with reruns of the show on Sony a few reports are floating around that the makers hope to bring back the Kapil Sharma Show on the OTT platform Sony LIV instead of its regular TV schedule. If true this news can definitely be a hard-hitting one for those who will have to shell out money on the platform to watch the show in the future if they are not subscribers.

Kiku Sharda who appears on the show as Bachcha Yadav stepped in to clear the air on the matter and was equally baffled by these reports. Talking to BollywoodLife he said, “This is news to me. I have not heard to this effect. I have not been in touch with channel people of late as the show is off air.”

There has been no update from the channel on when the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show will happen for now.
