This Memorable Shah Rukh-Kajol Scene In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Wasn't In The Script, Farah Khan Included It To Add A Filmy Touch

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a Bollwyood film that holds a lot of childhood nostalgia for all 90’s kids. The film is one of the absolute favorite of fans who love Bollywood romances even after having been called out as problematic in recent times. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai not only marked the start of Karan Johar’s journey as a director but was another addition in the list of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol favorites for fans with just the right amount of being filmy.

But did you know that there was one very filmy scene in the movie that wasn’t originally a part of the script? Kajol’s ‘pallu’ flying in the wind in the second half of the film has its own recall value. The scene takes place soon after the song Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai ends. It marks the moment in the film where Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) comes to realize his love for Anjali (Kajol) during a summer camp which is also his reunion with his old best friend.

The scene, however, was nowhere in the script apparently and was totally unplanned. It was Farah Khan’s idea that the scene be included in the final cut as it enhances the filmy factor of the movie.

Well, learning that we feel that Farah Khan should certainly have made her debut as a director much earlier than she did as Kajol’s flying saree sure became a much talked about element of the film years later.
