Tiger Shroff in action is a delight to watch on the big screen and while his much-awaited film Rambo might have been pushed further the actor has bagged an interesting project with filmmaker Vikas Bahl titled Ganpat where he will be seen playing a world class boxer in a two-part franchise.

The actor will shot for this sports drama first as he resumes work post-Baaghi 3 and has been working throughout the lockdown to get the physique of a boxer.

A source tells Mumbai Mirror, “Ganpat is essentially a sports drama set in Mumbai with Tiger playing a boxer for the first time. Vikas has been working on the script for a while now and Tiger, who loves MMA, wrestling and boxing was looking to do a film in this When Vikas narrated the script to him, it was an instant ‘yes’ from Tiger.”

Spilling more details about the project the source claimed, “Ganpat will be a two-film franchise, tracing the journey of Ganpat from a Mumbai boy to a world class boxer. Though it’s an action-packed film, at its core it’s an underdog story like Super 30, with an emotional father-son subplot. The search is on for a senior actor to play Tiger’s on-screen father.”

Tiger Shroff who was last seen in Baaghi 3 earlier this year also has the sequel of his film Heropanti in the pipeline while his Rambo remake has been pushed to the second half of 2021 with a new director Rohit Dhawan.
