The nepotism debate in Bollywood has reached its peak after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in June. While it is uncertain whether nepotism had something to do with the actor’s decision to end his life, the matter is being probed by the police with many from the industry being questioned in the case.

Meanwhile, on social media there’s widespread outrage over the whole outsider versus insiders difference practiced in the film fraternity. Baaghi actor Tiger Shroff who is the son of veteran star Jackie Shroff has spoken up on the matter and states that star kids have to make double the effort to get out of the shadow of their star parents and get their own recognition.

On the chat show, Starry Nights Gen Y Tiger says, “Being my father's son, there's an added pressure of being a star's son. People think it's very easy for us. I won't lie, in a way to get a little attention it helps. It's easier for people who are from the film industry but it's double the effort to make it on our own. I managed to get out of my father's shadow.”

Speaking about out his protected childhood and his parents’ reaction to trolls on social media the actor says, "My father has been in this industry for 30 odd years. He has seen the highs and lows of the industry and he protected me from that from a very young age. Now, that I am out there in the open, I have become an easy target."

The actor says that while he enjoys some of the memes made on his he often gets back to the trolls with his work and when he isn’t able to perform he sometimes is harsh on himself.

Tiger also said that the superhero genre has always fascinated him and he would give anything to do a Spider-Man film while he thought Hrithik would make for a great Captain America.
