Tiger Shroff's Rambo Not Shelved Clarifies Filmmaker Siddharth Anand Says, 'Want To Give It The Necessary Time And Attention'

A while ago we saw a poster of Tiger Shroff stepping into the shoes of Sylvester Stallone in the Bollywood remake of Rambo looking like a ready to take on an army along with his bulked up look. Well, while you might have already given up on the project the news is that the makers haven’t yet. The film was to be helmed by Sidharth Anand who instead made WAR with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.

You’d be glad to know that the Rambo remake is still very much on the cards with Tiger Shroff as the leading man but has only been facing significant delays. According to a Mid-Day report, a source close to the development says, “Mounting an ambitious venture like Rambo needs time. After the raging success of their last collaboration War [2019], Tiger and Siddharth are more confident of pulling off a transcontinental action adventure. Considering Tiger has established himself as an action star, they want to up the ante with the movie. They will kick off work on it once they have honoured their individual commitments, and in the meantime, they are polishing the script.”

Siddharth himself tells the publication, “Rambo is on the cards and I will announce it soon. People are waiting to see Tiger as Rambo, so I want to give it the necessary time and attention.”

For the uninitiated Siddharth is ready to begin work on Shah Rukh khan’s comeback film Pathan is slated to go on floors in November 2020 and according to reports it will be announced as a part of YRF’s 50th anniversary celebrations next month.

Rambo was originally planned as a 2018 release.
