    Uday Chopra misses his father Yash Chopra on his death anniversary: He took a part of me with him which I may never get back

    Uday Chopra remembered his father the late Yash Chopra on his 9th death anniversary on Thursday evening in an emotional tweet. The actor spoke about the ‘brotherhood’ he shared with his late father and how he left a void in all the lives that he touched.

    The legendary filmmaker died in 2012 while the production of his last project Jab Tak Hai Jaan was still going on. Uday in his tweet wrote, “My father passed away this day 9 years ago. He left a void not only in the film industry but in the lives of all he touched. I think he took a part of me with him which I may never get back, but that is fine. We are all incomplete beings and we must learn to live with that.”

    The youngest son of Yash Chopra further added, “But it’s not just Love that I felt for him. It was like a brotherhood that I lost. We understood that we were deeply different creatures and yet we accepted each other, with not just respect, but with humor. That’s how I will remember him…With respect and humor. My Dad always!!!”

    Yash Chopra was 80 when he died after contracting dengue. Jab Tak Hai Jaan, his last directorial released posthumously and starred Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead.
