Ugly 2: Anurag Kashyap Joins Hands With Ajay Bahl For The Second Part Of The 2013 Film; Read Details...

Anurag Kashyap had made a film called Ugly back in 2013. While it failed to do well at the box-office, it received critical acclaim. Now, it seems like a sequel to this film is on the cards. And Anurag Kashyap has even joined hands with Ajay Bahl for the same.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, this time Ajay Bahl would be directing the film instead of Kashyap, who would just be co-producing it. Talking about the same, Bahl said, “I actually went to Anurag with a script, a thriller which is dark and yet illuminated by a sense of immediacy and relevance. Anurag loved it. I wish I can tell you more about the story. All I can say is, it is nothing like anything seen in the genre of topical thrillers.”

Ajay, who had made his debut with B.A Pass, also added that the cast, along with Rahul Bhatt in the lead, may remain the same as the first one. He added that the plan is to turn it into a franchise that would focus 'on the dark areas of life'. Rahul and Ajay had worked together for Section 375. This sounds interesting, isn't it?
