Ujda Chaman Actress Maanvi Gagroo Reveals She Ran Out Of An Rape Scene Audition

The #MeToo movement had spread like wildfire in the west and it didn’t take much time for it to spread in India. There were several actors, singers who came out and narrated their MeToo moments. Actions were taken against some while some culprits were left scotfree and some were given the benefit of doubt. But one good thing that happened was people spoke about things they usually don’t.

It was during an interaction with Ujdaa Chaman actress Maanvi Gagroo that the actress revealed to Spotboye that she too had her MeToo moment. She was quoted as saying, “Not exactly, but I remember I had run out of an audition that required me to do an attempt-to-rape scene in a sleazy office with just 2 men seated next to in the room. The room, which they called their office, also had a bed."

According to the report, Maanvi further stated, she was absolutely rattled and petrified and was scared of her safety because of which she ran out to save her life. The report further stated that they tried to convince her but all of their efforts proved futile.
