Vaani Kapoor has a cheeky response to why she stars in only a select few films: 'But I am seen a little more than Adi Chopra!'

2021 will be the first time in Vaani Kapoor’s eight years in Bollywood that she will see a second film releasing in cinemas in the same year. The actress who has only a handful of films in her filmography since she made her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Shudh Desi Romance in 2013, will be seen opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui which releases in December. Her first film to release this year was Bell Bottom with Akshay Kumar which arrived in cinemas in September.

It does make one curious what makes Vaani so picky about her film projects. When asked about it during an interview by the Free Press Journal, the actress who plays a Zumba instructor in her upcoming romantic drama brushed the question aside saying, “I do very few films. I am barely seen, unlike my co-star Ayushmann. But I am seen a little more than Adi Chopra!”

Even in her limited filmography Vaani has worked opposite some of the biggest stars of Bollywood so far. She’s done War with Hrithik Roshan, Befikre with Ranveer Singh, Bell Bottom with Akshay, Shamshera with Ranbir Kapoor and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui with Ayushmann.

The actress showered praises on each of her talented co-stars and added, “Hrithik’s passion and talent are highly infectious and inspirational. Ranbir is one of the most effortless actors I have worked with and has the uncanny knack of switching on and off. You see a different person when he hears the word ‘action’. Akshay is a huge star and a great guy and my family was thrilled that I was working with him in Bell Bottom. My father is a fan of his and he was happier than me when I got to work with him.”

She further called Ayushmann and intense yet earnest actor who moulds himself in to the different parts he’s playing.
