A few weeks back, Abhishek Kapoor had announced his next with Ayushmann Khurrana, where the actor would be playing a cross-functional athlete. The makers had still been looking for the leading lady. Now, their search has ended with Vaani Kapoor.

According to a report in BT, Vaani Kapoor would be playing the female lead opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Abhishek Kapoor's next. The director has confirmed the news himself and said, "Vaani is a committed actor, and I am looking forward to working with her and Ayushmann. This is the first time they will be seen together on screen and I believe that their combo will be electrifying.”

Vaani is also super stoked to be a part of the film. She said, "I have always wanted to work with Abhishek, as I am inspired by his films. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of his vision. Also, Ayushmann is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m thrilled about our first outing together, which is a progressive love story.”

This would also be the first time we would see Vaani and Ayushmann share screen. That does sound exciting, isn't it? Apart from this, Vaani would be seen in Bell Bottom opposite Akshay Kumar and Shamshera opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
