Varun Dhawan & Kriti Sanon starrer Bedhiya's plot to connect with Stree 2; the horror comedy will deliver a social message

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya is among of the most anticipated horror comedies in Bollywood, a genre that has exploded in the film industry in a big way recently. The movie which wrapped up shoot in June with a final schedule in Mumbai is now in the post production stage and there’s finally an update on what the fans can expect from the project.

Bhediya enters Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe that started with Stree in 2018 and grew with Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma starrer Roohi. According to a Pinkvilla report, the film will be based on a social message about ‘save the forests’. Like the previous two films, the message will be delivered in a humorous fashion according to the source of the portal.

It has further been suggested that the plot of Bhediya will later tie in Stree 2 which is also being directed by filmmaker Amar Kaushik. Varun and Kriti shot for the film in Arunachal Pradesh earlier this year and the film was wrapped up during the pandemic.

After the success of Stree and Roohi, Bedhiya is certainly on must watch list on many. The film will mark both Kriti and Varun’s first tryst with the horror genre. The film is expected to arrive in theatres in the first half of 2022.
