Varun Dhawan Puts All Engagement And Wedding Rumours To Rest: There Were No Marriage Plans And There Can’t Be

Varun Dhawan’s impending wedding to girlfriend Natasha Dalal has sparked too many rumors to count. From a rumored engagement to an alleged destination wedding in Thailand, a lot has been speculated. So naturally when Kareena Kapoor referred to Natasha as Varun’s fiancé on her chat show recently all hell broke loose.

The Coolie No. 1 actor did talk about his wedding to Kareena and how he made up his mind to marry Natasha but on being confronted the actor told Hindustan Times that there are no wedding plans being discussed in the family right now.

Commenting on Kareena’s indirect confirmation on his engagement the actor told the publication, “Honestly, nothing has happened. No ceremony has happened but obviously when I have been with a person for so many years, the commitment is there and then if one calls her anything of mine, that’s right only because she is. I am in a committed relationship and that means I am only with her and there is no one else.”

Adding emphasis to his ‘no engagement’ comment he said, “Nahi nahi, aisa kucch bhi nahi hua. For the past 18-20 days, I have been in a live in relationship with myself only since I was quarantined due to Covid-19.”

Ask him about the Thailand wedding plans, he says, “I know there are rumours but there were no marriage plans and there can’t be because we also lost a family member due to Covid-19 this year. Now, I am like, ‘2020 khatam ho jaaye bas.’ Year end hote hote I got Covid-19.”

So while a wedding is on the cards for this long term couple it just not happening yet. The actor does have cause for celebration though as he has recovered from COvid-19 and resumed work on his film Jug Jugg Jiyo in Chandigarh and is looking forward to the release of his comedy Coolie No. 1 on Christmas.
