Varun Dhawan To Team Up With Brother Rohit For A Dishoom Sequel, Film To Go On Floors In 2020

Back in 2016, Varun Dhawan and John Abraham came together for the action comedy called Dishoom. This was also Varun’s brother, Rohit Dhawan’s second film after Desi Boyz. Well, if you had loved the bromance that Rohit brings alive on screen, then you are up for a treat. Rohit Dhawan is all set to bring the sequel of Dishoom, and guess what, Varun would be a part of this one as well.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Rohit has also completed the first draft of a story. A source, close to the development said, “He has been working on multiple ideas for his next directorial for a while now. One of them was a plot that had the potential of taking the buddy-cop franchise forward. He recently narrated the first draft to Varun and Sajid, both of whom have green-lit the project.”

The film would go on floors in the second half of 2020 and it would release in 2021. The source further revealed, “The film will be shot in India and abroad, and Rohit will go on a recce with his team early next year as he intends to take the film on the floors towards the second half of 2020.”

Varun Dhawan has more releases lined up for 2020 and 2021. While he would begin 2020 with Street Dancer 3D, he would also romance Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No. 1. He also has Sriram Raghavan’s  Arun Khetrapal biopic and Shahshank Khaitan’s Mr. Lele.
